Annotation

The author presents the complex of sources, which formed the basis of research on the history of the Telecommunications in Russia in the 19th – early 20th centuries. The special attention is paid to the characteristics of archival and museum collections, analysis of the Russian legislation, acts, record keeping and statistical materials, periodicals, and sources of personal origin.
