Annotation
In article the question of participation of metropolitan Athanasy (1564—1566) in Psaltiri's edition of 1568 is considered. Is established that he together with the tsar no later than May, 1566 enjoined to create printing house, but he had no relation direct to the edition of the book. It was published at the age of the metropolitan Kirill (1568—1572). Article is based on a material of epilogs to the first Russian printed books, chronicles and other sources
