The documents of the State archives of the Kamchatka region of the history on the Kamchatka during the Great Patriotic war 1941–1945
Annotation
The article presents a brief overview of the main and most important holdings of the State Archives of the Kamchatka region, reflecting the economic, social and cultural development of the Kamchatka region during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). In spite of a great deal of new collections of archival documents (including the history of the Great Patriotic War), remains an urgent problem in historical research of the sources previously unpublished. The article presents a general description of the funds of the regional archives. It specifies the number of funds, the chronological framework, and information about the evacuation of documents during the Great Patriotic War. Some funds which form the basis of the source base of the history of the region during the Great Patriotic War are chosen, and it is determined the degree of completeness, preservation, features content. The article shows wide range of materials from these funds which allow us to trace the development of main industries and individual enterprises of the nation economy of the region, conducting the system of defense activities, and to reveal the everyday life of the population in wartime. A brief characteristic of office work documentation is provided, which is the basis of the documentary base of the archive and it shows the enterprises’ funds and establishments of the fishing industry and agriculture, containing the most considerable volume complexes of documents. Unsatisfactory and completeness funds of culture and health are marked by. As a result of this alternative options are proposed to fill these gaps. A brief characteristic of the Kamchatka regional state statistics fund content is presented. Private origin funds are allocated by the author contain interesting materials of the history Kamchatka’s region during the war. The article noted the potential of the periodical press as a historical source, provides information on periodicals published in Kamchatka in 1941 - 1945 years. The article is of interest of the preparation of papers on the history of the Great Patriotic War.
