Annotation
Author of the article makes the source study analysis and develops a classification of the messages of Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI to Russian Tsar Peter I. The author characterizes the design of the received letters (gramoty) in the Embassy Order, examines the contents of diplomatic documents and their importance in the Russian-Austrian diplomatic relations. The subject of letters of Charles VI is vast - from major international issues to a description of events in the royal family. An important theme of the correspondence were the circumstances of escape of Tsarevich Alexei Petrovich of Russia, his stay in Austria and return.
