Materials of Estonia State Archive as a source for the study of foreign prisoners of war of World War II in the camps of the NKVD–MVD ESSR history. 1944–1949

Annotation

This article analyzes the information capabilities of documents, postponed in the funds of the State Archives of Estonia, and reflecting the history of foreign POWs in NKVD-MVD on the territory of this Republic. The author concludes that the folding and functioning of the system of camps in Estonia had its own peculiarities. Their analysis allows to highlight a number of issues, «Russian captivity».
