Abstract
Significance of the article subject stems from the necessity to surmount the crisis phenomena in modern Russian economy, which the authors consider impossible without revival of the manufacturing sector. Complete dependence on geopolitical situation and energy resources market environment doesn’t facilitate stable development of the nation. Searching for a way out, while politicians are discussing optimal models of reforming economical relations, it is of great practical interest to study national experience in organization of industrial manufacturing that has provided economical security and state sovereignty of our country for a long time. Modern scholarship registers a stronger interest in prereform development of the national industry and its various industries. However, understanding and objective assessment of the past are not possible without a complex analysis of political and socio-economic processes. Throughout much of the 20th century industry was the basis of the national economy and was given highest priority by the government. Objective assessment of modern state and prospects of the Russian industry development is impossible without a deep analysis of the regional data. It is important to study industrial policies in the regions, as without regions’ engagement in reforming there is no chance of improving socio-economic situation in Russia. Forthcoming studies in political and economical history of the USSR in 1950s-1960s have always gone hand in hand with expanding and rethinking of the source basis.
