Annotation

The article is devoted to analyze of the project of «Social museum» developed by prominent Russian academician F.I. Shmit. By means of unpublished manuscript of this project from the fund of F.I. Shmit we can give a specific example of new ideas on forms and purposes of museums. These ideas developed in new culture and bring museum to other institution of memory such as archives and libraries.
