Organization and activity of religious cults Commission in VCIK-CIK USSR Presidium

Annotation

The article discusses creation process of religious cults Commission in VCIK-CIK USSR Presidium, its development as central authority on regulation of state-religious relations, transformation from All-Russia into All-Union control authority. This study gives an opportunity to trace the evolution of the Commission on Religious Cults, to define its role in the religious policy of the state during 1929–1938th.
